Shine Bright With Me
Ages 15 - 24 Months (with a Parent or Caregiver)
Our Shine Bright with Me program allows your child to develop fine gross motor skills and flexibility, as well as follow directions, through a structured class of music and movement.
Twinkling Stars
Age 2 - 3
Our Twinkling Stars program is a non- recital Creative Movement class. Designed for tiny dancers to explore movement with creative and orderly activities to develop fundamental motor skills, balance and flexibility.
Shooting Stars
Two age groups include. 3.5 - 4.5 and 4.5 - 5.5
Our Shooting Stars program is a combination class that consists of Tap, Ballet and Tumbling within the hour. Students will have fun learning while being introduced to the fundamentals and proper terminology of Tap and Ballet. It is an outstanding program creatively designed to teach body awareness, musicality, rhythm and the joy of moving to music.
Tap
Ages 6 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway (prominent in the younger classes) to Rhythm tap. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, learning and understanding musicality and time all while being able to execute clear tap sounds. The class will become increasingly more intricate and complex as students progress through the levels of the curriculum.
Jazz
Ages 6 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Students will be exposed to various styles of Jazz such as Broadway, Contemporary and Street to help develop a well rounded dancer. This class will include a proper center floor warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
Ballet
Ages 6 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Ballet provides students with grace, technique and poise which is important for a solid foundation in all genres of dance. It is the most classical form of dance for the more disciplined dancer. Students will focus on building the strength, control, balance and flexibility needed to execute proper Ballet technique. Each class will include barre exercises, across the floor combinations and center floor work.
Lyrical/Contemporary
Ages 8 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Lyrical dance is a fusion of Ballet and Jazz techniques that uses movement to interpret music and express emotion. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several genres including Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Ballet. This class is designed for students to work on different styles of Lyrical & Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Students will work on technique while learning how to tell a story through movement.
Must be enrolled in Ballet in order to register for this class.
Modern
Ages 8 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Modern dance incorporates movement from the techniques of Graham, Horton, Cunningham and Limon to engage and strengthen your core muscles. This class is designed to increase flexibility and bring a sense of connection between your mind and body.
Hip Hop & Breaking
Ages 6 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Hip Hop is a fun, upbeat urban style of dance that is forever evolving. It is a high energy class where students will begin learning Hip Hop fundamentals. Original choreography will be taught, allowing students to discover their own Hip Hop style and encourage creativity and confidence.
Breakdance is an energetic style of dance, typically to hip hop music, characterized by stylized footwork and acrobatic or athletic movement.
Acrobatics
Ages 7 and Up. Class placement based on age and ability.
Designed to guide the class towards strength, balance, increased flexibility, muscle control, and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique teaching many different skills based on the students level of experience.
